Chuck Colson: Destroying abortion myths: "Foster adds, Dr. Nathanson, who later became a pro-life activist, said that he and Lader were able to persuade Friedan that abortion was a civil rights issue, basing much of their argument on the claim that tens of thousands of women died from illegal abortions each year. Nathanson later admitted that they had simply made up the numbers. In other words, those who claim that repealing Roe would take us back to a Dark Age of women dying in back alleys are basing their argument on a lie."

Which gives me sufficient pause for thaught to consider this - what is the truth about these issues and what is the hype? If a law was passed based on lies does that make the law bad? I would certainly want to repeal the law unless evidence should show why the law should have been made.
Of course no one wants to say they have got it rong, least of all me but now I start to wonder.
